I had the opportunity this summer to shoot my first wedding at the English Inn in Esquimalt and I was not disappointed! From the winding driveway that takes you up to the Tudor-style manor that houses multiple rooms, each bursting with character and begging to be photographed, to the beautiful and secluded gardens on-site, this heritage hotel feels miles away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Victoria but is only minutes away. Shyla and Travis arrived with friends and family ready to celebrate for the weekend and started the festivities with a beautiful ceremony in one of the luscious gardens surrounded by stone archways and creeping vines, with the sun peaking through it was the perfect place to say “I Do!”
The bride was stunning, the groom enamoured and their son was the perfect addition to the wedding party, being carried down the aisle in his own matching vest and slacks! With memories of her grandmothers wrapped around her bouquet, Shyla beamed throughout the ceremony and Travis, looking every bit the gentleman in his black and blue suit, held his bride’s hand while they recited their vows to each other. It was such a pleasure to watch two families coming together to welcome each other, surrounding Shyla and Travis with so much love and support. After making the most of the beautiful grounds at the English Inn we moved the wedding to The Delta Ocean Pointe where the bride and groom ate, drank and danced late into the night! Thank you again for inviting me to be part of your amazing day!
